Lutamax ® capsules are a dietary food for special medical purposes. They are specifically designed for diet management in age-related macular degeneration (AMD) to protect the retina.
AMD is a slowly progressive disease in which the visual cells of the retina gradually lose their function, which in the worst case can lead to blindness. The cause of the disease is believed to be lifelong, continuous damage to the visual cells caused by the energy of sunlight and associated oxidative damage. At some point, the visual cells can no longer withstand this stress and begin to lose their functionality and ultimately die.

Application
- 1 capsule once daily
- You should take 1x 20mg Lutamax daily for the first 3-6 months to replenish the lutein stores in the eye, followed by a daily maintenance dose of 1x 10mg Lutamax.
